Those were the days...........................

That's a great film. Thoughts watching it:
1] Active suspension car still handles like a P6 but at much higher grip levels.
2] Looking at the white conventional suspension car I'd say the rear suspesion was stifer than standard (look how little it droops when he steps on the back bumper)
3] I want as many gauges on my dash as the white car has!

I thought they were both quite tail happy. Shame there is no commentary, I had assumed both cars had the active suspension from the title ?

Hi, Is that on air suspension? Judging by the way it lifts up at the beginning, the additional battery or power pack in the left of the boot and all the gauges to monitor the pressures in the system and individual corners of the car.

I remember visiting Hethel many years ago and seeing an Esprit lying on the floor outside and took a photo of it. We were not meant to see it, it was a mule for the Lotus active suspension that was being developed at the time.

Great little watch, thanks.
I especially enjoyed watching it pump up like the Citroen CX’s we had when I was a kid.
I’m guessing this testing was in Solihull somewhere?

Wow, shame they didnt put that suspension on the P6, such flat handling characteristics, very impressive indeed.
