Tex Mirror Position On Door

Would anybody know what the factory measurements are for positioning the Tex style of mirror? I have new door assemblies being fitted and don't want to find out the hard way.

There isn't a factory measurement, as the factory never used the Tex mirror. They used Winguards.

Get your driving position right, then sit in the car and get someone to hold the mirror on the door and move it around until you can see behind you ok. Mark it there, and fix it.

.....Making sure the quarterlight doesn't hit the mirror when you open it.

Don't forget to lean to the right if the wind is from the south...legs crossed, and a smile on your face......

Thanks for the replies chaps will bear the position in mind. I thought I had seen some photos in the past with the tex mirrors fitted to the P6 and thought they were factory installs as the parts bin had possibly run out of wingards and all the other Austin Rover models at the time seemed to share the same type of tex mirror.
