Switch for reverse light

I need to replace the switch for reverse light on my 2000 manual (1966). I have a new reverse switch but how tricky is the job? I see from the parts manual that the switch is attached with self locking nuts. I'm presuming I need 2 more of these? Do the existing self locking nuts come off easy enough? Thanks.

The 2 nuts are just nylock nuts so they come off easily enough. You want a small socket wrench to fit into the space available between the tunnel and the gearbox. I have attached a photo of the assembly showing the switch and the bracket. One of the nylock nuts to be removed is in the foregroundreverse switch.jpg.
