HI All,

I'm starting to restore my Rover p6 (2000 sc) and I was checking which are the best bushes to fit on my car. I saw a kit of SuperPro Poly. Have somebody tried these type of bushes please? and is this worth of money these?

regards
Mark

This has been discussed at length if you look through the suspension and steering forum. BAsically in some applications polly are OK but in some cases, specifically the front upper link bushes which twist they'll squeak like nobody's business.

Don't I know it!!! A job I am not looking forward to, going back to rubber.

I solid bushed the bell crank bushes with nylon and got a little squeak, so I drilled and fitted grease nipples in situ, didn't take long, cured that sucker !

If faced with a strip down on stock springs then I would give the mod a go, may save you a lot of time and money, plus you can re grease at will.

The full Superpro kit has some incorrect bushes included, plus the bellcrank ones which are unanimously accepted to be unfit for purpose.
I bought the kit a couple of years ago and ended up sending some of them back, including SD1 parts..I’d just buy specific ones from them separately, the kit doesn’t save any money anyway.
Note that if you’re in the UK, Superflex use the same bushes and compounds but supply with stainless tubes rather than plated ones, they’re a better product for comparable price
Jim
