I discovered two drain plugs on the sump, do I need to take out both ?
2nd question, I cannot seem to get them out very easily, do I need to turn them clockwise or counter clockwise, to be sure I do not damage anything ?
You only need to take one of them out each time. They have the usual RH thread, so they need to be turned anti-clockwise to be removed.
You have to use the correct size spanner or nut, otherwise the hexagon will be rounded very easily.
I had a jammed plug once. I couldn't budge it by any means so after twenty minutes or so l left it & had a cup of tea before getting back under the car & trying again. With the barest pressure on the socket it spun out as smooth as silk.
Hello Wilfred, I had the same broken sump plug, Wins has them.
And according to the book, on RHD cars the drain plug is on the same side as the oil filter. Perhaps it's the same on LHD, but check!
I managed to get the oil drain plug out, I noticed that the plug is made of softer copper or brass, so I forced a nut with a hammer and some careful hammer ticks to the plug. Now I was able to remove it with an air wrench.
The old oil was really black, didn’t smell burnt though. I spoilt the car with nice quality oil and I also replaced the spark plugs. As you can see at the picture the mixture seems to be too poor ??
No idea how to correct this to be honest

they have 2 drain plugs so when you take your car to the grease monkey oil change chop shop and they round off one of your plugs, you can still do an oil change with the other plug.
I use the spark plug socket to remove them.
The one on the right hand side is my preferred plug. The one on the left hand side is next to the exhaust and may burn your hand when you remove it!
