stripping a BW35 - oil pipes

Hi, apologies if this has been covered elsewhere on the forum but....
I'm dismantling the Borg Warner Type 35 from my 1972 P6 V8, and have run into a problem removing the five oil pipes that run inside the gearbox, you know, from the valve block to servos and the connection to the oil cooler pipes.
The manual says these are push fit and to prise them out with a screwdriver, but I have used as much force as I dare and only one of them has budged.
Am I missing something or is it OK to persist, maybe with a tap here and there rather then just leverage?
I only got as far as removing the sump pan before these small pipes prevented further dismantling.
Thanks in advance for any help......

The only way is to prise them out. If you're worried about bending them try levering with a wide piece of wood rather than a screwdriver. If they do bend they can be straightened out in most cases, and if you really do muller them I have used pipes to sell you.

Thanks for the swift reply! I will persevere. No Duff brewery but there is the Glenfiddich distillery among others......
