Hi all,
At some point between Thursday 31st August and this morning 2nd Sept my White 1972 Rover P5b Coupe has been stolen on Croma Villas St in Putney, London SW18.
License plate AUN858L.
Everything pretty standard and was in good nick, new MOT'd. Had a slight crease in the bonnet on the left hand side.
If you could keep an eye out that would be great. My contact details are 07 544 159591 and john.d.deely@gmail.com

thanks

theres other sites commenting on car thefts and spares for sale . many suggesting we try and get a bulk buy ? set up with somebody doing tracker devices? also invisible and visible marking . thus making thefts a bit more unattractive hopefully. I have a hidden ignition short switch ( have trouble finding it myself) that grounds ignition circuit so although it cranks and fires ..it immediately cuts out.
will be marking my wheel trims later by etching an invisible UV permanent etc . as young lad once tried to remove using shears ! bit of damage to edges but will live with that .at least I was there to stop theft.
maybe a sticky sign for front and rear screens? indicating everything marked etc.? aware there a new set being set up where stolen cars are now reported to ..hhmm maybe if clubs got together with government and chipped in with a reward system ..say £500 award for assisting cars return and another £500 for successful prosecution ! possibly high end value cars can have insurance companies chip in too. maybe then a reward of say £10k might have thieves grassing on each other ..

So sorry to hear your news. Will keep my eyes peeled around Manchester! You never know where a car may show up. Good luck getting it back.

Given the number of people who use the Retro Rides forum, it might be worthwhile sharing this information on their 'Stolen' section?

Best of luck.
