Standard Inlet manifold design

A wise man once told me that the standard V8 inlet manifold was cast such that one carburettor feeds the two middle cylinders on one bank and the outer two cylinders on the other bank, and the other carburettor feeds the remaining four cylinders. Is this true?

I thought as much And I am assuming the left carb feeds the outer right and inner left and visa versa? (That is a guess but for good reasons!)

LH carb feeds 1467
RH carb feeds 2358

You should have bought one of the data sheets I did years back, it's all on there.
