Hi all,
I'm new to the forum (see my post in the Welcome section if interested).
I have a small problem with my engine stalling when I've been in traffic for a while.
The engine is not overheating - the needle sits comfortably at normal, there is no fluid being dumped (which give me some comfort on the viability of the temp. guage), it revs when you press the accelerator in neutral - however when you put it in D, and accelerate, it stalls and cuts out. Only way to get it going again is to keep the revs up and put it in D. Once I get it going again, it generally doesn't happen again on that run.
Anyone any ideas.......something is getting too hot under the bonnet? Dizzy ? Coil ? Fuel evaporation ?
Thanks,
Conor.
