Stalling at junctions.

Good Morning,

Having not driven my '73 2000SC for about 2 months (recently purchased 'S' reg Mazda 323F old shape) i have recently noticed that when I'm sat at a junction with my foot off the accelerator, she will not idle, (just cuts out). I've just put in a new set of spark plugs and cleaned out the carb.

Anybody got any ideas for cause of this happening!

Not knowing what your "carb clean out" consisted of I am guessing that you have disturbed a setting somewhere.
Try increaing the throttle adjusting screw to increase idle speed. This should do it. Let us know.

Thanks for your reply, had a look at it the other evening, I think you must be right, I did have to adjust the throttle adjustment screw. Also noticed the throttle cable is a bit worn (sheathing), so replacing that will be my next job, I think!!
