O K it's an old photo, but (VOU 676N) is still on the DVLA records, Last V5 change 1985 alas. Belonged to Hampshire constabulary Traffic dept around the mid 70's. Where is it now!

Those wheels are Dunlop Denovo's.
They were a special 'run-flat' tyre and were an option on the V8 cars from about '73.
If fitted, the car would be supplied with power steering and a carpeted boot with no spare wheel.
Very rare to see them these days.

its funny how an old photo can jog the memory,(to many to list here),i lived in fkeet 77-81and remeber all of these vehicles, the p6 was a regular site around the roads in surrey/hants,the cars were garaged at fleet services, motorbike is a honda CB200 and was stationed in yatley.(hello PC Gavin)

Mini Clubman 1275GT was notable.. But the lads I knew soon ditched them for cheaper rubber.

I think a number of models had them offered as an option. Especially this gorgeous wedge of steel.

Ahh, the Princess. I don't think I've seen one of those on the road in the last fifteen years or so!
My brother and I went through a spell of going to primary school by taxi in the early eighties, the car was invaribly a Cortina or a Princess.

I seem to remember seeing those wheeltrims on quite a few Princesess. Though it's hard to believe Denovo's were a popular option on them!

My Grandmother had a 1275GT with Denovos it was a particularly vivid shade of green with brown pinstriping and looked like this:

I think the BL Princess and the P6 have the same wheel fittings. The predecessor the BL 1800/2200 came with 14" rostyles that fit a P6
