Sound deadening - rear seats

Hi all,

Does anyone have the sound deadening from behind the rear seat squabs for sale? My car didn't have them when I got it - I think the previous owner must have set fire to it whilst welding (as he did with the carpet...)

Both sides of this area would be great. Preferably the earlier fibrous stuff (if it changed at all later on).

Many thanks :)

I wouldn't use original materials because they weren't really very good for sound control, they hold water and smell.

What you need is an acoustic barrier and the felt isn't dense enough for that. I used Tecsoud 50 (actually a building material) and a thin closed cell foam decoupler. It's so effective on my transmission tunnel that I have NO transmission whine from my automatic box in the car, not even in 1st.
