Hi everyone, I joined the Forum on Oct 13th.., anyway, here are some pictures of my P6. Please excuse the crappy paint job, I couldn't afford to get it sprayed so I did it with a roller! Will.

I did that once with an old Rustin Allagro - didn't look bad at all. 8)

Dave, the paint had been in my Dads garage for years. According to him it is an automotive acrylic paint, but he can't remember the company he bought it from. The colour is pillar box red or post office red, something like that?? I rolled it on as thinly as I could with as many coats as I could manage in the week I had to do it! I might try and polish it to see if the visible roller marks come out? Will.

There is a guy on the Practical classics website that has done that. Or his friend did anyway. He reckons his mate used something they sell in the US called Rustoleum and he thinned it down with spirits and rollered it onto a prepared surface (he shows a bonnet in a picture looks damn good) He put it on with those small hard rollers and said the trick was that it was wet sanded between coats and buffed.

Here is a link i hope it works!

Yeah, that's how I did mine. Unfortunately I was working against the British summer so I had to stop every now and then for the downpours! :x MIne hasn't been buffed yet tho, so some of the roller marks can still be seen but I'm hopeful that they will buff out. I did some 'research' first and found a couple of Mopar related sites with the details, 'rollyourcar.com' springs to mind. At the end of the day it only cost me about 20-30 quid to do but that's not including the price of paint, which I already had. If time and working outside hadn't been a factor when painting it, I think the finish could've been a lot finer!

HEY WILL BUT THE CAR DOES LOOK MUCH BETTER THEN IT WAS BUT U DID DO A GOOD JOB TO IT NICE TO SEE IT LOOKING MUCH NICER WOT DOES YR DAD THINK BOUT IT NOW

I havn't a clue what my Dad thinks about it now? haha , he never does give me much feedback! he just whinged that he couldn't get his car on the drive because I took so long to paint it!

Hi Will dont be ashamed of your paint job at least it's all one colour & looks tidy enough. Not sure if that's the one I've seen or not, don't think it is.

Are you going to Ryhope on Sunday?

Regards Colin

Hi Will it's a classic car show at the pumping station next to the old Cherry Knowle Hospital, it's normally a canny day out

Regards Colin

Ok, I just googled it to have a look. It looks good, I've never heard about it before looks like it could be worth a drive down. The exhaust's just blown on the Rover again, I was gonna sort that out this weekend but I guess I could live with it for another week!
