Interestingly enough, I was driving through there a few weeks back for work.
I too saw the car, with its sidelights on!
I parked the Defender up and went into the military museum to try and find the owner, who turned out to work there.
When I mentioned at the desk that they'd left their sidelights on, his colleague said "not again"
I had a quick chat with him and made sure he could still start it..
I don't think he's on here, doesn't take it to shows etc
It's extra funny when you have a car with a specific design feature to prevent you leaving sidelights on!
Perhaps it's a running joke to get more people into the museum?
To be honest I wasn't paying enough attention to the museum itself as I'd parked slightly blocking someone's drive.
I was there for a site visit at Shoreham House. The owners' granddaughter is getting married and I was checking their garden was suitable for tents. I've since just left that company so won't be going back any time soon, but everybody in Shoreham was very friendly, plus the ratio of pubs to houses seemed high
Jim
The ratio of pubs to houses is something I mention when people ask me why I like it too. The walk up the hill is beautiful, we went up there to seethe bluebells in the woods up top. While we were coming down a Spitefire flew up the valley. I tried telling my American wife this was a typical summer’s day in England but I don’t think she believed me.
