Shockabsorber settings

Hi. White/Grey Rover here. Must change my Avatar. Anyway I am looking for sugestions. I have scored a set of used Koni Classic shocks which are at present being refurbished by the Auckland agents. When I install them I am wondering about what setting I should set them at, would the rear ones be at a different setting from the front? At the same time I intend to fit rear springs from the S2 Red Rover for a slightly higher/ firmer ride on the rear.

Hi John,

From my experience, you should set the fronts firmer than the rear. The car will handle and ride better as a result. To what degree you wish to run them at will be subject to the characteristics of the springs, and how firmer ride you feel comfortable with. As a starting point, you could leave the rears on the initial setting, and set the fronts say at one complete turn.
