SD1 LT77 breather cap, required or not?

Having nearly finished fitting the LT77 SD1 box to my 3500 P6, I still didnt get to sourcing the breather cap that sits on the top of the gear casing, will this cause oil to spew out under pressure whilst running or wil it be ok?

Cant seem to find one anywhere :(

I'd say it should be fitted - if you cant find an SD1 breather could you use the banjo fitting and nylon hose arrangement used on Landrovers? They are used primarily so you can wade without sucking cold muddy water into your gearbox, and the pipe runs up the bulkhead into the engine bay - the other benefit is that the breather is then out of the dust up there too.
