RVC tacho conversion

Does anyone know off the top of their head the threads with the RVI to RVC tacho conversion wiring diagram in them? I'm sure there used to be one on here. I have tried several threads but all links come back with messages about not being able to connect any more.
Following the workshop manual wiring diagrams it looks easy enough to swap over the rev counters and hook up the existing wires for an RVI tacho to a new RVC one, BUT, would you use the original wiring routes when running Lumenition Optronic? Like I say, I'm sure there used to be a wiring diagram on here somewhere.

I can't remember the original thread, but I lifted and saved the relevant bit as follows.

"rev counter conversion from RVI type to RVC. It was easy peasy, and I now have a rock steady revcounter. All you need to do is connect the 2 bullet connectors together on the original RVI wiring, put the spade connector on thespade of the RVC tacho, and run a wire from the male bullet connector on the RVC tacho to the -ve terminal of your coil. That's it!"

I can't credit the original poster as, like you say, the thread's disappeared.

Hello Phil,
I did find your thread but you did a proper job with yours. Rather than convert my RVI tacho internally I just want to cheat and replace it with a RVC unit and change the wiring to suit.

Another thought has occurred to me - maybe relating to my other post on here at the moment 'mad rev counter'.
The ballast resistor and ballasted coil went in the bin years ago - the original wires to and from the resistor just being joined together and a non-ballasted coil being installed.
But would that affect the rev counter in any way ? Be it the original RVI or a replacement RVC?
