Rover V8 British Leyland quality control

The bloke in the white coat with the pencil moustache is Tony someone, can't remember his second name though, and the Welsh bloke in the white coat is very well known. Can't remember his name either. Plus the bloke who was the transport manager in "the brothers" was in there as well. Guess what? I can't remember his name either. Do you see a pattern emerging here? There were others as well. I've got no chance with those......

Yes, I know the Welsh guy to see. The two guys in overalls, matey is Brian Croucher from Blakes 7 and Hammer HOH, East Enders etc.

I think we need some help here........

I really need to know now.

I think the bloke from "the brothers" is Derek Benfield.

I feel a little better now.

hARVEY, REPEAT AFTER ME - "of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most".

Thank you. Very good film that. I didn't realise how fickle the aluminium is to changes in temperature.

Funny seeing the guy lifting engine blocks from the floor; try doing that with a cast-iron block...

This was something that Toyota and Honda later championed, but it’s such a good way of using the specialised knowledge of the guys on the shop floor. The whole negative note at first made me cringe, but I guess that was a hint of the time it was made?
