Sorry - I don't have one for sale, but these are posted for the information of Barry Gill, who has never seen one and needs one for his superlative 2000TC.

This particular knob is now in the possession of Adam Birch, a man well known for his collection of the aforesaid items.

Many thanks
Nick

Excellent. Truly a man of many knobs.

The one in the bottom row, middle, looks like it could be an early one? I which case - are there are two different types?

The 'Joe 90' type typeface on the usual ones appears to be in keeping with coming from the late 1960's, and the knobs were first introduced in 1967. Maybe there was an earlier type.

Honestly I'm not sure. That one is slightly bigger and the top is clear plastic with the lettering underneath. I can't remember where it came from, I think i've seen them on NADA cars but I'm not positive. But it could easily be an earlier one from a different supplier. Or maybe an aftermarket piece.
As you can see from the two at the back, they are also very popular chew toys for bored dogs!

I have a collection of knobs too, most of which are the earlier clear topped ones from NADA cars. Due to their poor durability (e.g. in the California sun) from going opaque and cracking I guess they changed them for the solid top type. These appear to be of the hard boiled egg method! Cutting the head off a standard black know and sticking it onto the wood turning?
