Rover 2000 tc tandem master replacement

Hello everyone,
I now have a 1968 rover 2000 tc.
I am located in the USA looking for a tandem brake master cylinder that is ready to use or atleast has a bore free of pitting. And or what there are for known reboring companies or available aftermarket, I know of apple hydrolics but id like to see what my other options are.

Hi @Cherryroverp6 Where in the States are you based? There’s a few good places that can reserve the master cylinder for you. Good quality rebuild kits are available from Stewart at http://www.customsparesltd.com/products.html in Brewster NY. He may even have a NOS unit on the shelf if you’re lucky.

Apple hydraulics should be able to resleeve your master cylinder. The brake cylinder is fairly easy to do. The clutch master has a long travel which can make sleeving harder to get right, I’ve seen some with an inverse taper causing issues. Fortunately, they are also available from LHD cars. But those have their own reservoir.

I haven't heard back from Apple Hydraulics through email since an initial email back from them regarding resleeving a brake servo. I actually am in touch with Steve, thankfully I am not far from Fitchburg. I have been attending the rove America shows since 2019. Any chance we've met?
