Rostyles going for powdercoat

Now that my respray is done, my rusty rostyles are letting the car down a bit. I dropped my first wheel off at the powder coater this am, and hope to have all four done by spring.
I thought I had two spares, but one rostyle has a slightly different bolt pattern and the reverse shows a solid wheel, not two riveted sections. I'm not sure what this wheel is for, but it's not for my car.

If it's got a different PCD, then it's probably a Magnum 500 from an earlier NADA 2000. Not much use without the matching hub.

I would be very wary of powder coating Rostyles. I've heard that moisture gets in behind the powder coat at the junction of rim and wheel centre, and that the powder coat then discolours from behind and eventually lifts. This happened to my friends's Land Rover steel wheels, which he had powder coated white. Also at the bolt holes, where the powder coat flaked. Ask to see a similar wheel that the powder coating firm has treated and importantly then driven some distance in inclement weather, perhaps? I would have thought media blasting followed by etch primer and then a silver paint, all applied by gun, would adhere better and last longer. All supposition and hearsay on my part, I haven't tried to powder coat Rostyles myself.

Hi, I agree with Mrtask. Having seen the state some things that have been powder coated
get into underneath, after having it burnt off, I personally would never have anything done.
