Respray cost

Send it to China, unbelievably cheap to do a complete car respray, same for changing or upgrading to full leather upholstery.

Well I've done the insides of the doors and top front valance/deck panel and the rear valance in my makeshift body shop, and although maybe not a professionals job but I'm happy and I can get fussy

Did our P6 full spray with paint from Express Paints. Very good quality celly at a decent price. We did the car fully assembled apart from the bonnet and boot lid, to get an even finish. Had about ninety coats of paint on it, so we used a polisher machine fitted with a velcro 150mm pad and 40grit discs after taking most of the latest rubbish off with paint stripper, then finished off with a orbital and 120grits. . Can get a good paint remover these days in an aerosol, works very well. As mentioned on here the door hardware and rubbers are not difficult to remove. Trim clips are easy to source. We were not looking for a concourse car, just a user. Too many modern cars with big tyres to hurl stones at you. Came out very well. The material costs were around £300. Of course the labour was free.

Jasper53, what brand is the aerosol paint stripper you mention, and where did you get it? I'm taking a set of panels back to metal at the moment and there are quite a few fiddly little places which I can't really get to with a power tool.
