Reserve tap

I didn't know what section to put this under so it ended um in engines sorry if that's an inconvenience

So I have found the reserve tap (I think that's what it is) to be leaking fuel can I fix this? Or do I need to buy a whole new part? And if I need a whole new part how do I even remove it... I can see two nuts and a screw but can only get to the top one that will remove a fuel line do I need to remove the engine it something to take the bracket out?

Here are some pictures

Looking at it now...maybe I undo that screw there and pull the arm out? Then go at the bolt

The o ring inside has failed. You’ll want a viton job to cope with modern fuel. It’s easy to replace and should last another 40 years.

If this is on a 4cylinder car you can just undo the screw and dismantle it. Remove the feed pipes and plug them first.

You can replace the O-ring without removing the tap from its mounting on the car.
Oh really? So will I just remove the screw and yank the arm out? Throw another Oring in there then arm back in and screwing it back in?...or do I need to remove everything conecting it, then the screw, arm out...then the O-ring and reverse the process? What exactly is the process here...I'm pretty sure I'm thinking of this too easily

^^^ That's about the strength of it. Just don't drop the screw.....
Do I need to remove the pipes or can I just undo the screw...(carefully)...then yank the arm off (also carefully) and get at the o-ring...so are the pipes all comeing off? Or just the screw and arm? Thanks

Leave the pipes connected, leave the inner cable connected to the lever, loosen the outer cable clamp to remove the cable from that, remove the screw and pull the barrel out of the tap with the inner cable still connected to the lever. replace the seal and RITRORP

Thankyou for that! I'm pretty sure I follow what your saying I'll give this a shot Tomorow

Also kinda a long shot put you wouldn't happen to know the size of the viton o-ring I will need do you?...just thought I could get it ahead of time and switch straight over
