Replacing vinyl

Has anyone re-done their sandalwood vinyl lately?

Are there any sources that people know of? Looking for a roll of material to re-do stuff that a previous owner has painted.

Any thoughts on whether this is close enough? Old Beige Vinyl

Thanks,

Chris

The last person I know who did this was Mick Burke, former Chairman of the Rover P6 Club. He managed to find someone with a roll of the original vinyl to redo the roof and rear quarters on his car. From memory, that one you have linked to looks a bit lighter than original, but it's difficult to tell from a picture on a screen. As cobraboy says, a sample would be better to judge colour match.

Let us know how you get on as my 3500S also has the same colour vinyl roof.

Do you (or anyone else) need some genuine Rover NOS Sandalwood furflex? I bought it thinking it was Buckskin. I'll be over to collect my side trims in the next month or so. So can be delivered.

Ooh, yes please.. need a full set for the auto. Tripped over the side trims the other day, so know exactly where they are too.

Hopefully not literally as in you bent them. Don't know how full the set is they are in bags with the part nos on them. I'm not sure I have the rear "double piece". I have no idea how much they are worth.

Really I wanted to sell these to someone who was going to do a very good/concourse job as these would be the finishing touch.

Well I'm certainly not going to do a concours job on this car, so might be better they go to someone else. I'll get generic stuff from Woolies.
