Replacement aftermarket headlights

Hi, saw these on ebay, (see attached pic), and wondered if anyone had bought a set or had experience with them. The only thing I would add is a relay.
Thanks

The first problem I see is the low beams have city lights (small bulbs in the bottom of the lamp to give a very low level light) that would require quite a bit of work to power. More importantly, it's a hole for moisture to creep in.

My second concern would be the brand of the lamp.

I fitted similar lights and just put a rubber grommet in the sidelight bulb hole to seal it up. The main problem with them is they are cheap and poor quality. The light isn't much of an improvement and the reflectors tarnish after around a year! A good quality replacement light will cost that much or more per light unit.

1990s 3/5 series BMW from a breaker fit do they not? I always assumed that's what mine are labelled "Bosch".

Current Lucas ones seem good. I have these as the outer lights, but have kept the 75W sealed beam flamethrowers for the inner pair (as fitted to S2 cars) because they are remarkably effective. I got my Lucas lights from Triumph specialist Chris Witor:

I was hoping to buy Cibié units, which are excellent, but production seems to have ended. These Lucas lights are a good subsitute. Hella equivalents are also available but the lens isn't as domed as a P6's headlight lenses should be if they are to look right.

Unlikely to be BMW specific units. Bosch made halogen lamps to replace sealed beams as an aftermarket option.

I'm happy with my Hellas, giving enough lumen and a nice pattern. They do have flat lenses but I've never thought about it since they're shrouded on my S2.
