Rear Door Alignment

The leading edge of my RH rear door protrudes beyond the trailing edge of the front door and the top of the sill by about an eighth of an inch. It appears to be the original door and there is no sign of any accident repair. There is a shim fitted between the hinge and the B post but removing this would be nowhere near enough to take up the gap. I'm baffled. Any ideas anyone?

Possibly, but the door is level with the sill while the rear door overhangs it, the rear door is also out slightly at the back, so I think it's the rear door that's at fault.

If I'm interpreting you correctly, then loosening the two cross-head bolts holding the lower hinge to the door itself should allow you to correct it.
Firstly though, are the door pins tight? I.e. with the door open, is there any movement when you try lifting it at the handle?

You are correct, Willy, but there doesn't seem to be sufficient movement there either, maybe I should try it with the door off so that it's not under stress.
