Anyone cut the shape at the end of a new rear decker rubber. Any tips? Wadhams rubber, whilst curved, is not cut .. at £45 a pop, I want to know best route. PS this is happening in the morning by hook or by crook.

Best to use the original as a template!!
Otherwise its do it carefully as you see it fitting, by offering it up make a card template! Apparently, ive been told, the best for quality and original fit are from Scotts old rubber in OZ!
Luckilly I have an original excellent s/h spare in stock,I could do you a pic of the ends for you to use as a pattern if you wish!
Let me know!

Cheers for that, its on. Problem with originals is shrinkage ... problem exacerbated by the crap rear screen rubber from Rover classics, which is 1/3 of the meat of the original (and not curved in to corners). Argument that screen rubbers are straight as this makes them cheaper to have remade doesnt really wash, they are crap and better available at Wadhams. Has I not fitted it, seam sealed and moved on with project, i'd have used the rubber to tie up my bin bags!! As such if you want decker rubber nice and flush, I had to cut it longer. Hit it with stanley blade and seam sealed and all ok. Not easiest job in world.

Scott's front and rear screen rubbers are moulded and seemed to work vey well on mine. One tip - the corners didn't lie right at first fitting, but a couple of days stood out in the sun and they fitted perfectly! all on theur own!

I've lent him a full set of front and rear 1/4 light window rubbers to copy recently so hopefully those should be available from his site by now too.

In my opinion well worth ordering direct from Scott's and suffering the delay whilst snail mail gets it most of the way round the world!
