Rear centre lapbelt

Does anyone know which Securon number static lapbelt can be used for centre rear seat. I know 254 is for LH & RH. Cheers

Hi, Is this is for the P6? You do know that the P6 is a four seater? If you have sat in the middle of the back seat you will realise why.

Not required, no. You can fit one though, l think lap belts are mostly one size fits all, two anchor points the only requirement. As pointed out though, not very comfortable in the P6 centre rear.
In fact l guess no belts are lawfully required in the rear as they weren't supplied with the cars.

Sparky doesn't have rear seat belts. I don't think I have ever had anyone in the rear seats to be honest, so it doesn't matter much really.

IIRC rear seatbelts are compulsory from cars manufactured in 1989.

Don't bother with centre lap belts, you really don't want to sit in the middle for any length of time (I did back in the 80s from Bristol to Glasgow - never again!). It's a 4 seater, end of!

Hello,

Thanks for that its just better to fit them in rear for safety of all. Cheers

The bigger problem is there are no mounting points for a centre belt in the rear. So, without a bunch of fabricating & hole drilling a centre belt isn't going to add any safety value.

I'm pretty sure l fitted a lap belt in the Denovo car along with the rear seat belts, simply because l had one. And if l didn't dream that l fitted it to the bolts along with the main buckle catches. I'll have a look when l'm up the workshop next. It would do for a shopping bag restraint or somesuch. :)

I'm wondering how you would get a short motor home in the back of car.
