Rattling pads in front callipers, the fix! - Pictures attached

Well, as promised, here are the pictures of how I have stopped the really annoying rattling noise from the front callipers on Erik.

Here is the standard set up for the anti rattle springs;

and here is the bag of parts used from a ford Capri. The only parts used are the anti rattle springs, and I used the new pad pin retaining clips.

The main thing to remember is that the Capri brake pads are a lot smaller than those of the V8, although they may be the same size as 4 cylinder cars. The anti rattle spring sits in a small hole half way up the Ford pad, So obviously drilling a hole half way up a V8 pad won't work. I used the anti squeal shims from the bag of parts, and measured the distance between the 2 holes, where the pad retaining pins fit through. I then halved this measurement, and used it to measure up from the bottom hole on the V8 pad. I've done about 50 miles since doing this, and so far no more rattling! :D
