My 1975 2200SC has its original radio, which is really just an ornament. Does anyone have any ideas for replacement with more modern itme, or can the original item be modified internally, to receive Classic FM? I am not concerned about cassette/cd. Thanks fin advance or any advice/info.

Hi I have just fitted a sony radio/cd player in my 67 2ooo with a clip off front.I was sick of worrying about the 8 track getting stolen by the yobs when I parked as they most probely thought it was worth a fortune as they no doubt couldnt recognise what it was.Now I just clip off the front when parking and clip on the original rover blanking plate over the top.It then looks as though there is no radio in the car yet still looks authentic. cheers dion.

Hi,
The firm you need is "THE VINTAGE WIRELESS COMPANY", tel: 0161 973 0438.

They can modify your set to recieve FM (and keep the front panel the same if you wish). If you give them a ring they can tell you exactly what can be done.

I have used this firm and was very satisfied with the result.

Good luck!
