Question for the Brains trust. Bolt sizes

Hi groovers, I can't find my bolts that secure the bellhousing to the block. Can someone please let me know what size/thread so I can get some new ones? Cheers, Rob.

There are two sizes for the manual box - 2 of 3/8UNC x 2 3/4" and 6 of 3/8UNC x 2"

I don't know about the auto boxes and if you have the 5 speed, they maybe different again

In the last parts book (RTC9022B, 1977) , bolts are usually shown on the exploded diagrams without their size, but if you lookup the part no in the rear part no index, the size is shown. eg, 252514, carburettor stud, is listed as 5/16 UNF/UNC. Can be very useful, especially where the length is given, eg 254048, bell housing bolt, 3/8 UNC x 2 3/4 long.

The auto gearbox page in my manual (12 03) says there are 6 of the 254045 bolts (3/8 UNC x 2") for the auto bellhousing, but no mention of the other two? I'm sure there are 8 of them, but as I have never actually owned an Auto, I may be wrong.

From memory the 2 bolts that go either side of the starter hump on the bellhousing are longer, and those 2 make it up to 8.
