Propshaft alignment

Hello All,

Is the ‘jaunty’ angle of my prop shaft in relation to the diff normal? Had it up on a ramp yesterday looking for a vibration at 30 and 60 mph just looked peculiar.... looking at UJ’s and driveshafts other than that...

Yes, the angle is normal.

Vibration could be from any number of suspects. Wheels and tyres out of balance, tailshaft not aligned with yoke, heavily worn or stiff universal joints, the latter resulting from the former.

When did you last have your tyres changed and/or wheels balanced? Vibration at two specific speeds is often wheel and tyre related.

Going to take the prop up to the bailey Morris in feltham for new UJ’s and balancing. Then will get recond driveshafts with new UJ’s the car gets used a lot and they haven’t been touched in my ownership which is 10 years now so can’t do any harm...
