Pressure test gauge-which thread size?

Hello, I need to give my BW35 a pressure test to setup the downshift cable as there is no nipple on the cable to measure from.
I have a pressure gauge with a 1/4" bsp tapered thread on it and I need to marry it up to the take off union on the box.
With BW being german makes me think that the box should use metric threads...
Can anyone tell me what thread size the box uses so that I can order some unions to make up a tube for my gauge?
Many thanks,
Philippe

If you cant find the thread type and size, take the plug out of your old box and get it matched up to a union

I am amazed how 'standards' cross country borders. France being metric, I never thought that a British Standard Pipe thread would be known here, but it seems that it is used for air compressor tools and lines.
My local hardware store supplied the female union. If I can't find an adaptor or union for my box, I'll dismantle my dead box and modify the union to fit...Will report back! Cheers
