Practical Classics - Feb 2023

It's been a while since I bought a copy of Practical Classics, but as it had a piece on both an early SD1, and a 66 2000, I decided to give it a go

The P6 piece frustrated me to say the least. The writer was annoyed with his replacement clutch slave cylinder, being unable to properly bleed it until he read the workshop manual. The final suggestion being that although it is bled, it only bites at the bottom of the pedal range, suggesting that he may not have actually read all of the manual and checked the height adjustment

Once again, the two takeaways seem to be;
1. Read the workshop manual. The Rover one, or in some cases, the Haynes one
2. Stop spending £5 on seal kits, when replacement cylinders are available for £20, especially when dealing with hydraulic parts
