Power Steering

I have found a rover p6 v8 steering pump but it doesn't look like all the parts would I have a hard time to find the rest of the parts and be better off just going for an electronic pump with all the hoses? Here are some pictures of everything it comes with thanksScreenshot_20200924-223538.jpgScreenshot_20200924-223536.jpgScreenshot_20200924-223533.jpgScreenshot_20200924-223531.jpgScreenshot_20200924-223529.jpg

Hi, It looks like you just need a reservoir ( plus the oil hoses to and from the pump and steering box, and the drive belt but you would be better fitting new of those) unless Harvey can spot anything else. There's a reservoir on ebay at the moment -

But those are fitted to a variety of different vehicles.

Thanks for that link for the reservoir very helpful
The oil hose are just straight through hoses? I don't need any special ones? Thanks for your help

It seems to be short the reservoir and some hoses, and the extra pulley for the crank. I don't like the way the drop arm nut and adjuster locknut are both loose on the box, and there aren't any shims on the bottom mounting areas on the box itself. There's no track rod either, which isn't essential, but nevertheless it's nice to have.

Just from my own point of view, I don't like systems that have been dismantled into there component parts. As it's possible to remove the system as a whole, that's how I prefer to buy them, and that's the way I always sell them.

Would you say I'm better off trying to fit an electric pump then? Or buy this and try source more parts? Its $200 nzd and I wasn't sure I would find another one around nz I'm not really sure about shipping parts from overseas either since the cost of shipping can be more than the part if you think this pumps no good I'll look around for an electric one and try fit that instead
Thanks
If you sell them and have any around to sell would you have any idea what the shipping costs would be to nz? Thanks

If I were in your position I think I would look for an electric pump and reservoir unit and use that. Citroen Saxo is a good starting place, or Vauxhall Corsa, and there must be other similar ones in your area of the world.
