Police spoilers

I’ve messaged Alan @ classeparts a few times before about making some up, he was willing to make them if enough people were willing to leave a deposit to cover the costs, he said the same as Quattro loads of people would put there name down but not leave a deposit.
I’m still interested in having some made up but the last time I messaged him he never got back to me.

That might work. If he’s ok sharing his scan mesh I can reverse engineer the surfaces for a printed part. If his printer has a high temp hotend an enclosure he may be able to print in ABS, or even cf filled nylon.

I'm in New Zealand and a replica set made of wood came up on our Trademe site last year, unfortunately I was outbid. I contacted the successful buyer who is based in Aussie. He said he may use them to produce out of fiberglass and on sell but no fixed time frame.

I've noticed my 3500S get light in the front end in certain wind conditions so definitely keen to fit some spoilers when I can get my hands on a set.

It is my understanding that the Rover Car Club of Australia commissioned full front spoilers for the P6B some years ago. I remember talking with Scott Richmond as he had one for sale, and if memory serves, it was the last one. The very nice looking Rover in the photo is fitted with one.

Hi. So update on these spoilers: I spoke to the P6 club chap that had mine 3D printed in 2023. He told me he did go on and to get some made - 6 sets with stainless steel riv nuts and fixings similar/same as mine are fixed on. Mine are replicas of original spoilers made by a company called Beechcroft Engineering sometime around 2010-2014. I had mine fitted when I got the car in 2016 - I was told then they were last set they had and were doing no more. Cost me £200 fitted if I recall right.
The guy has used set for his car and sold 2 other sets and fitted them to cars - they did need some fettling to the shape to get nice tight fit- likely due to slight differences between cars. He has 2 sets left with fixing kit and sells them for £220. Plus postage.
I asked about the print file: He wants to keep this as he is not on big income and he wants to make another run of I think 5 sets using money from sale of the ones he has made thus far which by time he sells them he will be even or some profit for his work. Seems fair enough.
So I have his contact details should anyone want them - I appreciate as he does sending these around the globe can be expensive enough. It is obviously possible that one these sets, once purchased, could be used to make other replicas or a make and share file so that locally people could do their own thing.
Please PM me. I am simply passing info on and not getting a cut or involved in sale in anyway I simply did the initial favour of taking them off my car, giving them to him on trust of getting them back ok and letting him use mine. I got them back ok of course! The chap is trustworthy P6 club member and long term P6 enthusiast.
