As said - a friend gave me a Pitmans motoring book 5th Edition 1956 called--The Book of the Rover
It covers 1938-57 four cylinder and 1950-6 six cylinder including the land Rover
He wants to know -is it worth anything? I was going to offer him a tenner--is that too little?
 
Sounds fair to me. You could probably pick it up cheaper than that but if it's a nice copy & you like him then go for it. Then get him to buy you a pint. :)
