As the tread name states, i need the correct paint code for a P6B 3500 from 1970.
Its a LHD which was exported to Switserland.

We are respraying it, but the bodycolour does not match the colour off the interieur metal parts.

Does any one has the correct colour code?

Try identifying your colour from here:
Colours

The colour codes are listed here:

I think you'll struggle to get an exact match, even with the paint code, as the composition of modern paints is very different to even a few years ago. My car was resprayed Monza Red back in 2012; I recently did some work on it and had real difficulties getting the paint matched.

Why not get a spectroscope match to the door shuts? You are probably wasting your time with paint codes. I tried and it didn't match anywhere inside or out on my car.

Hi, Afaik it could be Arden or Cameron green. Cameron green and Monza red both change colour significantly with age and are a git to match. Paints then and now are mixed to different formulas, by percentage as opposed to by weight. There are two ways to do it, as said by having it spectroscoped. Or by finding a modern colour that is close and having that made up, a helpful paint mixer can help with this. Are you painting each panel separately or the car complete?

As a way of deciding which green you have - Cameron Green always looks like a shade of green, but Arden Green is so dark that in some poor light conditions it can appear to be black.

By your avatar pic, your car appears to be Arden Green.

Here are the codes I found but my painter could not mix any of them.
In the end we used Ford loden green (non metallic), code 4y. Matches extremely close to areas with original paint. Click on my avatar pic to see color.

Please post the actual paint code your painter uses after its done.

Just out of curiosity what's your chassis number? Mine too is a 1970 Swiss car S1 V8. Mine is 428 032 56G

The painter found out which colour it was because a sales reprehensive from gasurit came along who recognised the colour.

Hi peter, i wil have a look at the licence, the car is at the paintshop for a while.

It's very likely part of the same batch. I have some original paperwork, the importor was based in Lucerne. I'm wondering also if anyone knows the chassis numbers of either of the Princess Grace cars as I am led to believe these came through Switzerland at the same time.
