P6 Steering Column UJ

Does anybody know if these were common with Land Rovers or other vehicles of the period?

Mine is a '72 TC with the Adwest box if that makes a difference.
There's a load of play in the UJ so I want to replace it. The box is coming out for reconning next weekend so will do it then.
Steering column UJs for Defender / Disco 1 / RRC all look similar and are available new at reasonable prices. Likewise Stag ones. Does anybody know if any of these might fit, or are they unique like everything else on P6?

I have a NOS steering shaft complete with a universal joint that I sourced from S & J. Walker more than 20 years ago. It has YM1299 in raised lettering on the free yoke. The shaft with fixed yoke is one piece, which is different from the LR items when I did a search, although that does not mean that the uni joints are completely different.

This one from Mark Gray is second-hand.

I didn't realise it was a single part!
Just found a complete s/h steering column on ebay - this photo suggests the UJ is interference fit on the splines on the shaft - possibly heat shrunk on.

Cearly won't be easy/possible without removing the steering column... I had hoped to knock it off through the bulkhead when the box comes out. This requires a re-think... I may be better sourcing a separate second hand column and taking it to a 'shop. It may be less hassle to have the existing one rebushed.

Thanks very much for going to this trouble. I'm taking the steering box to a specialist in Chester, so will speak to them about it. It doesn't look as straightforward as I hoped!
 
You've probably thought of this but, just in case… what I thought was a worn-out steering column UJ in my 1972 2000 TC was simply a loose UJ clamp bolt. Fixed in one minute.

I can't completely rule that out yet to be honest. As you'll know, it's difficult to properly see anything under there. But as the box is coming out next week for a refurb, I figured it was worth replacing anyway. I guess I'll only know when I get there...!
 
I've also had the drop arm nut come loose, and consequently the drop arm was loose as well, which gave the same problem.

That's reassuring!
Perhaps it's just the pinchbolt has worked loose on the box input shaft. In which case, it'll cure itself by dint of the new box being fitted. I'll try to inspect regardless, but that helps allay too many concerns.
