P6 Master Cylinder Equivalent?

I'm in the process of converting the NADA dual servo brake system on my P6 to a single servo system. As some of you may recall, I posted some descriptions of how I installed a Ford 5 liter V8 into my P6. However the dual servos block access to the right bank of plugs on the V8 so I would like to move the servo more or less to the front right corner of the car.

Part of the conversion will require replacing the dual piston master cylinder with a single piston cylinder. Rover parts are difficult to source here in the US so I'm thinking that there must be a master cylinder from another car that will fit directly into the Rover. Does anyone know anything about this? As always, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Tom

Hi, I unfortunately can't give specific part numbers, but if you stick to the correct bore size of 7/8" to maintain the
match to the calipers. Then it is a case of finding one that is easiest to mount in position. If not on the existing
studs then an adaptor bracket and altered pushrod.

Sorry I could not be more vague

Colin,
thanks and 'vague' is good :D Meanwhile I may have answered my own question. I rummaged through a box of parts and found a Dunlop master cylinder that came from my Mk 2 Jag. It is 7/8 bore dia, the same as the Rover, and with some rebuilding should work. As you say the push rod may have to be altered but that is simple.
