P5B boot lid problem.

Hello there I wonder if anyone can help me please. I have a p5b coupe that the boot lid can come open on when driving going over small bumps. I have tried to adjust, moving latch on rear pannel and also raising it but these make matters worse so I have put back to first position. when slammed boot seams to get a good hold yet pops up after a short while. Any help would be welcome. Thanks Stephen.
 
make sure that the handle is fully returning to its closed position. if you look at the catch you will see where it connects there shouldnt be tension on the latch.

other things to check is the bump stops dont need adjusted and also the latch plate can be adjusted. if you dust it will talc then close the boot you might see where it is making contact. and adjust appropriatley.
 
They shouldn't be slammed shut, they should be pressed closed. If you have to slam it the adjustment is out.
 
Often if adjusted properly , it will not slam shut, just bounce open again. Should just need a small amount of pressure to latch.
