im looking at fitting a power steering to my p4 and im lead to believe you have to change the dynamo to a alternater to take extra current used.
any percific ways to do this
has anyone done this any feedback would be great

Unless you're using an electric pump for the steering then I can't see any reason to change to an alternator for that reason alone. I'd do it anyway though as it's well worth it. If you use an ACR alternator it's easy enough, just modify the dynamo bracket so the alternator fits and the pulleys are in line, then take two battery live cables to the two large terminals on the alternator, and then find an ignition controlled supply, run that through the warning light and on to the small terminal on the alternator. Disconnect and tape up all the wiring from the dynamo and control box and remove those.
