Overdrive for DG150

On one of our trips to and from Canberra ferrying Flynn's rover parts home it occuured to us that the laycock overdrive could be attached to the DG150 auto to give a four speed unit (or six if you are really keen) as the DG unit has a lock up top gear. Has any one attempted this?

Not personally, but the said unit has been successfully fitted behind the BW35.
You will need to liaise with a member on the P5 owners forum " johnwp5bcoupe " ; )

John's overdrive is a self contained unit, so will fit behind anything if there's room.

"Room" isn't something there is a lot of in a P6 but we were thinking of a P5 coupe' as we have two spare DG150s to play with and can probably get a laycock unit from the other auction people for a reasonable sum.

Harvey I went gearstick hunting and found two long ones. You were right, there is a difference below the swivel ball. one is a little bit shorter from the ball to the acorn. I have an S top piece but it is out of reach at the moment. I'll check and see which one is which when I get to it.
