between us: 2 midgets (one for me and my dad), 2 minis (one for dad and my sister), series 2A and the P6.. so that's 6 between 4 people who drive. Got a friend in the forest of dean whose family has many many many cars but not all are taxed tested and on the road...

As a close neighbour of the Forest, I didn't think you needed to tax or MoT a car there?.............

It's only really me and my Dad who have "the bug". My Dad used to have 4 vehicles in all: A 1967 Bedford CA Dormobile, an Austin Healey Sprite, and 2 Mk1 Cortina Estates 1964 and 1966. He has since sold the first 2 on the list but still has both Cortinas in the garage. He's had the '64 Cortina for as long as I can remember and it was in regular daily use until the early 80s.

That fiat looks lovely! And in classic cars, I think my dad wishes he had one, but other than that it's just me. And my wife - she had a nissan figaro until about 2 years ago....

Nice pics Thijs 8)

I've got my Rover 2000, and my Dad has a Triumph 2000TC mark 2 automatic, which he's known since new, and bought from his godmother in 1988, at which point he treated it to a full restoration, and then used the car for my parents' wedding. The first owner had bought a new Triumph 2000 every year from 1963 until 1975, when her husband died, and from then, until 1988, she kept the car. The car was apparently very well known around Louth, Lincolnshire, as the previous owner was something of a local celebrity. Sadly, however, the car is currently off the road, but we hope to have it back on the road soon. :D

Bad news Rich. My partner has lost 2 cars that way. The first was her 3500S when a drunken idiot failed to take the bend in front of our house and stoved the front in, and then a couple of years later, some drug-addled nut bounced off 3 parked cars before stopping himself with the back of her Toyota Trueno parked outside a friend's house.
As far as classics in the family, not much. My brother and I are both car nuts but we certainly didn't get it from our parents. He has had some cool stuff (mostly American) over the years but nothing since he started a family. Although he is restoring a boat.
Surprisingly, my Aunt suddenly developed an interest in classics in her late 50's and now has a very nice Jowett Jupiter.http://www.flickriver.com/photos/sidm/3466136565/

I am the only one in my family that currently has classics.

I have my P6 1970 Series 1 2000 TC, Zircon Blue, 14" Rostyles and a 1983 Mini Mayfair, Silver, Mini Special Alloys.

Mini Special Alloys.

ive got a tatty set of them in the shed, they're worth bugger all in that condition and due to the fact they dont fit my car (4 pot calipers) i need a way of getting rid!

I have the classic bug in my family although dad built two kit cars in 1978-1980. Stimpson Scorcher and a Hustler. He recently bought a 62 morris 1000 which he seems to be running everyday. In his defense he did run a really rough ex police 3500s in 1987 during the horrendous snow.

I started out with a teach myself project P6 10 years ago (1977 2200tc), collected a few cars inbetween. 1987 2300 sd1, 1980 Stage 1 V8 Land rover Station wagon, 1988 EFi Range Rover, 1974 P6 3500 auto, 1970 P5B Coupé, 1998 Rover mini Cooper, 1985 SD1 Vitesse Auto and the most recent is a 1972 3500s.

Current fleet is my original 1977 2200tc, 1985 Vitesse auto, 1970 P5B Coupé, 1972 3500s, also the daily driver which is becoming a rolling restoration is a 1996 Rover 216 Tomcat.

Between me and the old man we have 3 classics a 66 2000sc, 69 Triumph 1300 and a 62 ragtop VW beetle. We would have more but don't have the storage :(
