So I changed my oil in the P6B,and with advice I put miller's 20w50 classic oil,not sure what oil was in it before hand but she was smooth, since putting the 20w50 in my oil pressure is alot higher, when I accelerate the oil pressure goes up to about 70psi and a tiny bit of tapping which was never there before, should I dump the oil and use miller's classic 10w40 semi synthetic, any advice guys

I've moved your thread to the V8 engine section.

I have always used 20W50 as it is what the engine needs. Have you had the car long? I was just wondering if the last owner had used a thinner oil and possibly an upgraded oil pressure relief spring?

I have it a few weeks little known about it but it's immaculate, only since I changed to 20w50 it's not running properly just concerned

Morning,

I’ve been told never to use semi synthetic, due to the old gaskets, sealings, etc. So only mineral 20W50.

This is the one I use, also in the old Jaguar and it’s running smooth with lots of oil pressure.
