Ian, I can only echo the sentiments of the others on this thread: good luck. If it's any help, a friend of mine has just been through something similar - throat surgery, chemo and radiation therapy. 18 months later he is still "all clear". I am sure that you will be in good hands with the specialists.
Wishing you strength, courage and a quick recovery. As other have said, this can be beaten. A friends sister went through this last year. She's fully recovered and back to enjoying a full life now.
Ian stay strong and fight it. If you need someone to talk to, shout out, cry at or just to listen, give us a call, anytime day or night.
With regards to your NADA if there is anything I can do to help you get it 'national' ready, just let me know or just stick it on a transporter and send it down to us, you can have my time for free mate.
hi all,
many many thanks for all your comments. unfortunately today I went to the hospital and the petscan has revealed it has spread to my liver and blood. I have a minimum of six months and if chemo goes well maybe eighteen months or so to live. what else can I say.
Ian,
So,so, sorry to hear this. I've just got in from work & read this & I'm absolutely gutted for you. I'll give you a call tommorow night if your up for a chat. Feel free to call me if you want to talk,

Terrible news Ian , sorry to hear it . Your in the same place as my mum , she was told at the end of last year . Stay strong . Thoughts and prayers with you .
Stina
I know it won't bring much comfort at the moment, but whenever you're given timescales in the way you have been, it's always the very worst case scenario, so with ongoing treatment the outcome is not always the certainty you may think it is now.
