I have an automatic 1968 Rover P6 3500cc
Sometimes after stopping at traffic lights or at a junction the car will start to pulls away but as the revs increase, the car does not accelerate
If I then take my foot off the accelerator and then re-engage my foot for a second time on the accelerator pedal the car jumps slightly as the gear engages and then it pulls away OK
It is then will the generally run OK for the rest of the journey
What might be causing this?
Also can you recommend a garage in the Chester/N Wales are who has experience of working on Rovers?
