Not a Rover, yet it seems to share a certain charm and flair with the P6

I stumbled across this photo (not mine, thanks whoever took it!) of a sporty little Japanese saloon car whilst idly surfing the web. I was smitten straight away. I've never heard of the Isuzu Bellett B, nor seen one in the flesh, but now I want one! I reckon it has great proportions, and more than a little in common with the Rover P6. The cutie in the photo is just a mite lower than I'd want mine, too much 'stance' going on at the back end. Great rims, digging the wing mirrors, and that front spoiler.

Bear in mind a Bellet in a party frock is soooo much more appealing that a Bellet in a housecoat, another similarity ?

Another staggering revelation, the twincam 1600 motor WOW, a Lotus twincam copy ?

And the Bellet sport station wagon, second generation Elite ???? bloody close.

My uncle had one of those for a number of years, must say the upgrades to your pictured one dont make it look any nicer than the standard trim.

They never caught on in my country and were a bit of a rarity but unfortunately being rare in the car world doesn't mean they are sought after or command a higher collectors price. Usually the converse is true the more popular and plentiful they were later in life as people try to relive their younger days ( rose tinted glory days ) the prices skyrocket.
