NOS 3500s wheeltrims..anyone fancy the 'buy it now' price??

 Wow! And to top it off, I don't think they are a matching set. It looks like two of them are polished and two are satin finish.

I don't think I've seen NOS 3500S trims for many years. They will go for a healthy price, but £500 is rather optimistic!

I wouldn't be surprised at £200 though - if they are all the same.

I hadn't even noticed that! I was still reeling from the buy it now price

£500!!!!! They would have to be untouched and still in whatever wrapper they came with. I bought a really decent set for £10 with and a bit of autosol and satin black paint they now almost look as good as new.

I paid significantly less than that for my car, and it came with a full set of S trims and a complete set of Magstars.

Hi there

I'm sure there was a set of 4 of these that were new-old-stock that sold on ebay about a year ago for around the £400.00 mark.

I didn't bid but had added the auction to my watch list and I think what happened is every ebay seller's dream...2 or more bidders that are determined to win lol.

I think this is a 1st hook in the water situation and the price will drop back if they go unsold.

Best regards

S.Smith.

That's crazy. Soon as they are put on a car they lose their value surely. I have heard of depreciation of car values but never of the trims.

Bids are currently ZERO...I'm betting they wont progress to 1.
However, i have been trying to get these and they are not easy...at least not here in Aust, and the postage from the U.K is quite expensive.
I am currently, painstakingly masking off the trims that came with the car.
There were painted silver frost (the whole trim), which I took off with paint stripper, and now need to mask off all the little curves and respray.

good thing is good s hubcaps seem cheap as chips
mine have rostyles so mite polish mine up and sell em,,i wont use em again,,much prefer the chrome rossys,,

i suppose the purists will shreik in horror as i have low profile tyres as well
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!!!!!!!!

also new but not funding a holiday to the seychelles!

New? I don't think so! Just polished to within an inch of their lives. If they were new they would have centre badges and satin black painted sections, plus they were never that shiny, they had a satin finish.

The thing about stainless stuff is that if it isn't dented, then it will come up like new with minimal effort.

I just had Bruisers low profile Yokohama's swapped for some 185/65/15's:

I wouldn't go back to the lower ones again, the bigger rolling radius is a big improvement in cruising comfort.

As for the wheeltrims.....no chance.

There were two types of S trims,..the brushed satin finish which is by far the most common, and the smooth polished finish which looks almost like chrome. The latter are as rare as hen's teeth, and looking at the photos of the 4 that are for sale, to me they look like the satin version.

hi,
the shiny ones were standard fitment on NADA'S. J.P.Restorations fitted them to a lot of there restorations as that is what was left in stock at the dealers as the satin ones had sold.
