Non-flashing Beam Flash

Neither of BOP's main inner beam lights works when they're flashed or normally turned on.

I've checked with a voltmeter & there is a miniscule reading when the beam stalk is pulled (of perhaps half a volt or so). The beam warning light comes on in the dashboard.

I thought it could be the stalk switch. However, I see from the wiring diagram that the warning light is connected into the lights' side of the fusebox (all OK), so as usual with electrics, I'm a bit puzzled

Hi.
On my S2 V8, the inner main beams are on a separate fuse to the outer main beams so that may be worth a try. Not sure if the S1 is the same though.

Thanks Glen.

The car is a series 2 & the fuse is OK....
Hi Phill have you tried disconnecting the bullet connectors that are on several wires coming from your head lamp, this caused me to have strange lamp gremlins in the system even though fuse was ok, I disconnected each wire cleaned each bullet with a bit of light sand paper then added some dielectric grease on each terminal for good measure, to keep the damp out and help with the connection, the bullets can be restored depending how brittle the wires have become so be mindful removing the wires from the connector however I would examine the connector for ingress of damp and rust or dirt might be worth replacing the connector, I found that brand new connectors are available via Land Rover good luck with it

Ditto, but my problem was the connectors to the relays put in 40 odd years ago.
